Blake Ryan is a Photographer based in Melbourne, Australia
Growing up in Melbourne, Australia, I found my passion for photography during a pivotal move to Frankston. I began photographing school productions and events, honing my skills and connecting me with the vibrant communities of the Mornington Peninsula and Frankston. These connections soon led to commissioned work with local businesses and non-profits, establishing my footprint in the local creative scene.
I take great joy in documenting the journey from Point A to Point B, capturing the unfolding moments that lead to a final product. This passion is evident in my photographic series, where I strive to tell the complete story behind every subject.
My dedication to the craft has been recognized with the Media Student of the Year Award at Frankston High School, which I won two years in a row. These awards were for my photographic series featuring the ‘Addams Family’ and my documentary ‘Change’, which highlights Indigenous culture at Frankston High School.
Based in Melbourne, I continue to explore new projects that allow me to document and share unique stories through my lens. Meeting new people and experiencing diverse cultures is a constant source of inspiration, driving my commitment to aesthetically driven visual storytelling.
